DC Kulgam takes review of Mission YUVA; assesses implementation, progress

KULGAM: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, on Monday chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the DC Office Complex here to assess the implementation and progress of Mission YUVA in the district.

During the meeting, detailed information was given on the status of Mission YUVA, including a number of applications received, processed, sanctioned and disbursed under various schemes of Mission YUVA.

DC took a case-wise review and stressed the importance of strong on-ground implementation and coordination. He directed that monitoring of progress under Mission YUVA be conducted on a daily basis, and stressed the processing of cases, including preparation of DPRs at the BHD level, to avoid delays in benefits reaching the youth.

To institutionalize regular performance monitoring and coordination, Business Help Desks (BHDs) were instructed to meet every Tuesday and Thursday while Small Business Development Units (SBDUs) were directed to meet every Friday.

It was also instructed that District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) meetings shall be held every Saturday

DC instructed concerned officers to ensure effective follow-up and mentorship to facilitate the success of youth-led enterprises.

The meeting concluded with a firm resolve to transform Mission YUVA into a vibrant platform for youth empowerment through sustainable self-employment and entrepreneurship.
