Labour Commr reviews progress of transition of JKEPFO to Central EPFO, GoI

JAMMU: Labour Commissioner J&K, Charandeep Singh, on Wednesday reviewed the progress of the transition of the Jammu and Kashmir Employees Provident Fund Organisation (JK EPFO) to the Central EPFO, GoI after implementation of the Central EPF Act at Shram Bhawan Jammu.

Additional Provident Fund Commissioner, Kashmir, Deputy Provident Fund Commissioner (Central), Chief Accounts Officers Kashmir, Jammu & Central and Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners of the Organization were present.

While reviewing the progress of the transition of JKEPFO to Central EPFO, GoI which is in its final stages, the Labour Commissioner was apprised that about 5.09 lakh subscriber accounts were digitized and transferred to the Central EPF Database. Further, it was informed that JK EPF organization has completed the annual accounts till the financial year 2020-21 for the CAG audit of the Organization as per the government guidelines.

The Labour Commissioner was also apprised about the status of compliance of the Government order No.37-L&E of 2023, Dated 11-07-2023 viz-a-viz allocation of assets, manpower, buildings etc between the J&K Government and Central EPFO, GoI.

Expressing satisfaction with regard to the overall progress of the transition, the Labour Commissioner directed immediate action on any pendency. He also directed the redressal of Grievances of subscribers and prompt resolution of residual issues pertaining to the closure of the JKEPFO as per the government orders.
