Drug-peddler’s property attached in Kulgam

Srinagar: Police in Kulgam have attached a double-storey residential house and cowshed of a person involved in drug peddling, a police spokesperson informed Wednesday.

He said the property belonging to “notorious” drug peddler Bashir Ahmad Khanday, son of Mohammad Sultan Khanday of Nippora was attached under section 68-F(2) of  NDPS Act 1985.

“The property was identified as illegally acquired property during the course of an investigation conducted by Kulgam police. The property was prima facie acquired from illici trafficking in narcotic drug and psychotropic substances by the owner,” police said.
