DoPE Gandhi Memorial College organizes annual Cross Country Run-2023 for Boys

SRINAGAR: Cross Country Run for boys was today organized by the Department of Physical Education (DoPE) Gandhi Memorial College, Srinagar from Nehru Park to Nishat Garden, covering a total distance of 7kms.

All 80 students of the college participated in the said event.

The Cross country Run was flagged-off by the Principal of the College Prof (Dr) G.M Lone at 7.18 AM from Nehru Park Srinagar which culminated at Nishat Garden.

Later, on the banks of Dal lake at Nishat Garden, a felicitation ceremony was organized wherein the Principal of the college Prof (Dr) G.M Lone felicitated the first, second, and third position holders namely Zakir Hussain of B.Sc IV Semester, Raqib Ali of BBA 2nd Semester and Waseem Ahmed Khouja of B.Sc 2nd Semester respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, the Principal of the College Prof (Dr) G.M Lone lauded the role of the District Administration and Police Department for their support in conducting the said event smoothly.

Prof Bilal Ahmad Convener Sports presented a vote of thanks in presence of Parvez Ahmed Motta (Co-Convener Sports Committee), Police officials of Nishat Police Station, faculty, and supporting staff of the college.
