Furthermore, Apni Party leaders have urged the Government of India to revisit its decision on the deportation of PoK nationals, particularly women married to Kashmiri men.

According to a press release issued here, Apni Party leaders held an extraordinary meeting of its executive committee meeting, which was also attended by all the district president from across the valley, today at the party headquarters in Sheikh Bagh, Srinagar. The meeting, presided over by party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, was held to discuss the current political and security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in the wake of the recent horrific attack on tourists in Pahalgam.

During the meeting the leaders thoroughly discussed about the prevailing situation across the valley.

“On this occasion, they said that the terrorists must be nabbed and brought to justice, but no innocent person must be harmed during the investigation of Pahalgam’s horrific terror attack. The leaders also demanded that the 48 tourist places the government recently closed down should be reopened with adequate security arrangements at these locations. They said tourism activities must continue despite the disturbing attempts by the terrorists and enemies of peace,” the press release reads.

“Furthermore, Apni Party leaders appealed to the central government to revisit its decision to deport women from Pakistani-occupied Kashmir (PoK) who have married Kashmiri men. The leaders said these women are bonded with the valley’s social fabric through their marriages, and they have raised children here. They belong to this place, and deporting them would be a grave injustice. Apni Party leaders urged the government to grant these women an exemption from the deportation of Pakistani nationals from Indian soil,” the press release added.
