J&K records 108 fresh COVID-19 cases, no related death

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Friday reported 108 fresh cases of COVID-19, while no virus-related death was reported in the last 24 hours, officials said.

Of the fresh cases, they said 87 were reported from Kashmir and 21 from Jammu division, taking the cumulative total of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 3,31,494, they said.

They also said that 52 more COVID-19 patients have recovered were discharged from various hospitals including 41 from Kashmir and 11 from Jammu division in the last 24 hours.

No new case of mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today — the total number of confirmed cases detected so far remains at 49, they said.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus (COVID-19) informed that 73,153 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours across the UT bringing the cumulative number of doses administered so far to 14,094,721.

According to the bulletin, out of 3,31,494 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far, currently there are 870 active positive cases across J&K, including 730 in Kashmir and 140 in Jammu division, while as 3,26,195 persons have recovered and 4,429 have died – 2,254 in Kashmir and 2,175 in Jammu division.
