Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti Thursday appealed people of Poonch district to vote her to safeguard the identity and resources of Jammu and Kashmir.
Mufti was addressing road shows in Bafliaz and Chandi Morh areas of Poonch district. She said the situation of Jammu and Kashmir has worsened after August 05, 2019 due to anti-people decision of New Delhi, and sought support of people of Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary segment to vote her so that identity and resources of Jammu and Kashmir will be safeguarded.
She said the ongoing election is not a fight between NC and PDP rather it is our collective fight to support a bold voice and take it to New Delhi’s Parliament.
She also said the decisions taken on August 05, 2019 are “unacceptable” for people of Jammu & Kashmir and the declaration had paved way for further alienation in the region.
