Srinagar: A woman from Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district was found dead in the Dal Lake on Thursday afternoon.
News agency KNO quoting official sources reported that the body of a 36-year-old woman identified as Gulshan, resident of Gamraz Tral, was spotted in Dal Lake by some locals, who later informed the police.
The body of the woman was subsequently fished out, they said.
They said that the body was shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities and investigation has been started into the matter.
