Yasin Malik arrested
Srinagar: Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik and many other JKLF leaders and activists have been arrested by police on the eve of Indian Independence Day today, a party spokesman said in a statement issued here.
The spokesman said that police today morning raided the residence of Malik and arrested him. Police had yesterday arrested JKLF vice chairman Showkat Bakhshi and zonal organizer Bashir Kashmiri and shifted them to police station Kothibagh along with JKLF chairman.
The spokesman police have already arrested many JKLF activists who have been lodged in different police stations.
Meanwhile, incarcerated JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the demise of Bashir Ahmad Khan of Lasibal Anantnag who breathed his last after suffering from a severe heart attack today. Deceased was the father of resistance activist Irfan Khan.
