JAMMU, NOVEMBER 29: Zafar Iqbal Manhas, MLC, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Manhas apprised Governor about various important issues relating to the overall development of the State and particularly highlighted the developmental issues of Shopian.
Manhas informed Governor about the damages to the horticultural crops of the farmers of the Kandi Belt of Shopian due to inclement weather and requested for providing them monetary relief measures including waiving off loans; expediting construction of Zarkan Bridge at Keller and Receiving Stations at Mastpora and Kanipora. He thanked Governor for approving various important developmental works in Shopian.
Manhas who is also Vice-President of the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages, discussed with Governor, various important issues relating to the Academy.
Governor urged Manhas to continue his sustained endeavours towards public welfare.
