Srinagar: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology and Environment, and Tribal Affairs Javed Ahmed Rana on Tuesday met public delegations and individuals in Srinagar and heard grievances related to the departments under his charge.
According to an official statement, the delegations from different areas raised issues requiring immediate attention and sought intervention on various developmental demands.
The Minister assured the delegations that genuine issues would be examined on merit and addressed in a transparent and time-bound manner. He also directed the concerned officers to process the representations promptly and ensure their early disposal.
Rana stressed the need for close coordination with field functionaries to facilitate efficient grievance redressal and minimise delays.
He said regular interaction with the public was essential for responsive governance, enabling the government to identify local issues, assess developmental priorities and deliver effective solutions at the grassroots level, the statement added.
