SMC bids farewell to four senior officers on superannuation

Srinagar: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation on Sunday organised a farewell ceremony in honour of four senior officers who retired from service after completing distinguished careers in municipal administration.

The officers who superannuated include Shafat Ahmad Khan, Joint Commissioner (Works); Mudasir Ahmad Banday, Chief Sanitation Officer; Nisar Ahmad Wangoo, Executive Engineer; and Mushtaq Ahmad Nowshehri, Executive Engineer.

The function was presided over by SMC Commissioner Faz Lul Haseeb and attended by joint commissioners, the secretary, health officer, superintending engineer drainage, and other senior officers and officials of the corporation.

Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner congratulated the retiring officers on the successful completion of their careers and appreciated their contributions towards strengthening municipal governance, improving civic services and serving the residents of Srinagar.

He wished the officers good health, happiness and success in their future endeavours.

The retiring officers expressed gratitude to the SMC administration and their colleagues for their support and cooperation throughout their service. They described their tenure in the corporation as rewarding and enriching and thanked fellow employees for their dedication and teamwork.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of mementoes and best wishes to the retirees in recognition of their dedicated service and contributions to the Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
