Srinagar: The government on Sunday decided to reopen all educational institutions in the Kashmir region on Monday.
The decision comes a week after the government had ordered the closure of all educational institutions as a precautionary measure following the situation in West Asia.
Education Minister Sakina Itoo told KNO that the schools, colleges and universities in all districts of the Kashmir region will reopen on Monday.
“After taking a review of ground situation, we have decided to reopen the educational institutions in all districts of Kashmir from Monday,” she said.
Previously a week back, the government had ordered closure of schools and colleges across Kashmir region in order to ensure the safety of the students.
Pertinently, schools upto 8th standard will reopen tomorrow following the winter break of more than two months.
