Jammu: Election Authority (Financial Commissioner Revenue J&K) has issued a schedule for preparation of final Electoral Rolls to be used for holding elections to Gurdwaras Prabandhak Committees in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

As per a communiqué issued here today in this regard, the Photo Electoral Rolls (PER) are being prepared for the first time for these elections. The qualifying date is 01-04-2022.

The communication said that publication of draft Electoral Rolls shall be made on 28-04-2022 at all designated places including Tehsil and Block offices as per rules 6 of Jammu and Kashmir Sikh Gurdwaras and Religious Endowment Rules, 1975. The Electoral Rolls would be available on URL jkmonitoring.nic.in/sgpc.

The period for filing up of claims and objections would be from 28-04-2022 to 13-05-2022 while disposal of claims and objections shall be made from 13-05-2022 to 18-05-2022. The claims and objections may be filed manually or electronically.

The final publication of Electoral Rolls shall be made on 23-05-2022.

All the eligible voters have been requested to view the draft voter lists and file their claims and objections, if any, before the Election Authority of the district i.e. Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) of that district.
