MD JKPCC inspects ongoing works in Anantnag district

Anantnag: Managing Director, JKPCC, R.K. Shavan today visited District Anantnag and inspected the progress and to review the pace of works under execution with JKPCC Ltd.

During his visit, he also identified bottlenecks and passed instructions to resolve them. The projects visited today are summarized as below:

Construction of Tourist Facilities at Harnag Anantnag: The work is being executed by JKPCC Ltd at an estimated cost of Rs. 1373.30 lakh. Engineers were directed to complete the project at the earliest and also submit the work done claims to the Project Authority so that timely payments are made to contractor.

Construction of District Hospital Anantnag: The hospital building is already completed and functional except Block A. Managing Director apprised that the matter regarding approval for construction of G+4 instead of G+3 was already taken up by Principal GMC Anantnag with Additional Chief Secretary Health & Medical Education.

Construction of Medical College at Anantnag: The work is being executed by JKPCC Ltd. at an estimated cost of Rs. 11653 lakh. Project Manager was directed to complete the lecture hall before 7th April 2022 and also submit the DPR for allied works including internal Roads to the Project Authority at the earliest.

Construction of Hostel Block at Govt. Polytechnic College Larkipora Anantnag: The work is being executed by JKPCC Ltd. at an estimated cost of Rs. 500 lakh. The on spot instructions were given to complete the work at the earliest.

Construction of Govt. Degree College Veerinag: The work is being executed by JKPCC Ltd. at an estimated cost of Rs. 1152.78 lakh. Project Manager was directed to speed up the work and execute the work strictly within the Provision of Approved DPR.

Construction of Flats at Transit Accomodation Machbawan, Anantnag: Managing Director visited the site identified for the construction of above flats for Kashmiri Migrant Employees.

Construction of Trauma Hospital Bijbehara: The work is being executed by JKPCC Ltd. at an estimated cost of Rs. 1304 lakh. The Hospital Building and Doctor quarters are completed and functional. On spot instructions were given to handover the Electrical & Mechanical components to Project Authority at the earliest.

It was reiterated that extra care should be taken to ensure quality work.

The Managing Director was accompanied by Project Managers of the works under execution.
