BARAMULLA: Khidmat Foundation Baramulla on Sunday distributed marriage assistance kits containing essential household items among 16 girls from economically weaker families during a programme held at Jadeed Eidgah in Baramulla.
The assistance was provided as part of the organisation’s mass marriage support initiative aimed at helping families facing financial difficulties in arranging marriages.
Representatives of the foundation said the programme was intended to provide practical support to deserving families and reduce the financial burden associated with marriages. They also stressed the need for simple marriages and urged philanthropists and community organisations to support families in need.
Khidmat Foundation, a social welfare organisation, has been involved in various humanitarian activities, including educational assistance, medical aid, ration distribution and financial support for underprivileged families.
Speaking on the occasion, foundation chairman Er Khursheed Ahmad Shah said the organisation would continue extending assistance to deserving families and appealed to the public to support such welfare initiatives.
The programme concluded with prayers for the well-being and future of the beneficiaries and their families.
