JAMMU: The Sungal Tunnel on the Jammu–Poonch National Highway NH-144A has been partially opened for traffic.
Officials told GNS that Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) are now being allowed through the tunnel between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM daily.
According to authorities, full regular vehicular movement on the tunnel is expected to begin from August 22.
The partial opening is aimed at easing traffic on the highway and providing relief to commuters ahead of the complete operationalisation.
