JAMMU: Traffic Police Headquarters, J&K, has issued a traffic advisory prescribing strict convoy timings for the Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026 from August 17 to August 28.
According to the advisory, issued by the IGP Jammu Zone, specific cut-off timings have been fixed for the movement of Yatra convoys and registered pilgrims travelling between Jammu and Poonch.
For convoys travelling from Jammu to Poonch, yatris must cross Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp by 5 am, Sunderbani Transit Camp by 10:30 am, Nowshera TCP by 12 noon, Rajouri Transit Camp by 1 pm, Manjakote by 2 pm and Bhimber Gali by 3 pm.
For convoys returning from Poonch to Jammu, the cut-off timings are Dundak, Surankote by 11 am, Bhimber Gali by 12 noon, Manjakote by 1 pm, Rajouri Transit Camp by 2 pm, Nowshera TCP by 3 pm and Sunderbani Transit Camp by 4:30 pm.
Officials said the advisory is applicable only to Yatra convoys and registered pilgrims. All concerned have been directed to adhere strictly to the prescribed timings to ensure safe and smooth movement during the pilgrimage.
