BJP J&K president and Rajya Sabha member Sat Sharma, BJP General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul, Lok Sabha member Jugal Kishore Sharma, Rajya Sabha member Ghulam Ali Khatana and several other party leaders participated in the event.

Before the rally, BJP leaders paid tributes to martyrs at Balidan Stambh and offered floral tributes in their memory.

Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma said the national flag symbolises the country’s unity, sacrifices and aspirations. He appealed to people to participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and hoist the Tricolour at their homes.

Ashok Koul said the rally was organised to honour the sacrifices of freedom fighters and security personnel and urged youth to contribute towards strengthening national unity.

Jugal Kishore Sharma said the response to the rally reflected public participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, while Ghulam Ali Khatana said the national flag represented unity beyond regional, linguistic and religious differences.
