During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the status of ongoing drinking water projects and took stock of issues and demands raised by the MLA.

Rana directed the concerned officers to accord priority to the issues highlighted by the legislator and ensure their resolution within a fixed timeframe. He also asked officials to expedite projects nearing completion so they can be commissioned without delay and directed them to remove bottlenecks affecting the progress of ongoing works.

The Minister stressed the need for close coordination among departments for effective implementation of development projects. He also directed officials to ensure optimum utilisation of funds under various schemes and maintain quality standards in the execution of works.

Reiterating the government’s focus on improving drinking water supply, Rana asked officers to expedite pending water supply schemes, address distribution gaps in underserved areas and ensure regular water quality testing to safeguard public health.

He said delays in completing drinking water infrastructure projects directly affect public welfare and instructed officials to ensure that all ongoing schemes are completed within the stipulated timelines.
