Shopian: Sajad Ahmed Shah on Saturday assumed charge as the District Information Officer (DIO), Shopian.
According to an official statement, Deputy Commissioner Shopian Shishir Gupta, Additional District Development Commissioner Dr Nasir Ahmed Lone, Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr Zakir Hussain Faaz, and officers and officials of the District Information Centre welcomed Shah on assuming his new assignment.
The Deputy Commissioner expressed confidence that the new DIO would discharge his responsibilities with dedication and professionalism while strengthening the dissemination of government information and public outreach initiatives in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Shah thanked the district administration for the welcome and said he would work to ensure timely and effective communication of government programmes and developmental initiatives to the public.
The statement said the function concluded with officers and officials assuring the new District Information Officer of their full support and cooperation.
