Srinagar: CISF Director General Praveer Ranjan visited the Nunwan base camp at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir to review the security arrangements for Amarnath pilgrims, a spokesman of the force said on Sunday.
Ranjan accompanied by ADG, North, Sudhir Kumar visited Nunwan base camp on Saturday, to review the security arrangements for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, the spokesman said.
He said during the visit Director General (DG), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) reviewed overall security arrangements, deployment plan, access control measures, communication network, surveillance systems, medical support, coordination mechanisms between CAPFs, J-K Police, civil administration, and other stakeholders.
Ranjan inspected key deployment locations, check posts, communication centre CRPF, CCTV control room, and logistics arrangements.
Special emphasis was laid on anti-sabotage measures, area domination, crowd management, route security, and preparedness to respond swiftly to any contingency, he said.
