Kupwara: Extensive awareness and outreach programmes were organised across tribal villages and far-flung areas of Kupwara under the nationwide Jan Bhagidari Sabse Door Sabse Pehle IEC campaign.
The programmes were conducted in coordination with various departments to ensure last-mile delivery of government welfare schemes and services to tribal communities.
According to officials, the district administration organised IEC campaigns and Jan Sunwai programmes from May 21 to 23 under the guidance of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
The campaign included plantation drives, cleanliness drives, Aadhaar generation and updation camps, PMMVY enrolment drives, health awareness programmes and community interaction sessions across several tribal panchayats and villages.
During the programmes, officers and officials interacted directly with local residents and sensitised them about government welfare schemes related to health, nutrition, sanitation, education, women empowerment, livelihood generation and social welfare.
Jan Sunwai programmes were also organised at multiple locations where public grievances were heard by officials and several issues were resolved on the spot.
The district administration reiterated its commitment towards strengthening public participation and ensuring that welfare schemes reach every deserving household in remote and underserved tribal areas.
The campaign witnessed active participation from field functionaries, Anganwadi workers, ASHAs, youth volunteers and local residents.
Officials said all activities conducted under the campaign are being uploaded on the designated portal for real-time monitoring and documentation of outreach efforts across the district.
