Nasir Aslam Wani first visited the TATA e-Bus Depot being developed under the FAME India Scheme Phase II and reviewed progress on the PM e-Bus Sewa project.

Officials informed him that the electric bus infrastructure is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 16 crore to strengthen eco-friendly public transport in Jammu city.

The advisor appreciated the efforts of Jammu Smart City Limited in modernising urban transport infrastructure and directed officials to ensure early completion and inauguration of the project.

He said Smart City initiatives are transforming Jammu into a cleaner, greener and better organised urban centre and stressed that all projects must be completed in mission mode.

Later, the advisor visited the upcoming Waste to Wonder Park project and appreciated the artistic monuments being created from recycled waste material.

He also interacted with artisans and workers engaged in the project and praised their creativity and dedication.

Describing the initiative as a unique addition to Jammu city, Nasir Aslam said the project would promote tourism, environmental awareness and public recreation.

Officials informed him that the Waste to Wonder Park is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 11 crore and is expected to be completed by the end of June 2026.

However, the advisor directed authorities to make all efforts to complete the project before commencement of the Amarnath Yatra so that pilgrims and tourists can also visit the attraction.

According to officials, the project has achieved nearly 80 percent physical progress and will feature 14 replica monuments created from scrap and recycled materials, including international and national landmarks.

Officials said the park would be the first-of-its-kind project in Jammu and is expected to emerge as a major recreational and educational destination for tourists, students and local residents while promoting environmental sustainability and waste recycling.

Nasir Aslam reiterated the government’s commitment towards accelerating urban development and strengthening sustainable public infrastructure in Jammu city.
