MLA Gulmarg conducts outreach, developmental programmes across constituency

Tangmarg: MLA Gulmarg Farooq Ahmad Shah on Monday carried out a series of public outreach and developmental programmes across the constituency focusing on education, healthcare, youth awareness and public welfare.

The MLA inaugurated a newly constructed building at Government Girls Middle School Kralpora Wailoo aimed at improving educational infrastructure and student facilities.

He interacted with students, teachers and local residents and stressed the importance of quality education.

Later, Farooq Shah attended a programme organised under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan at MTM Experimental School Wussan Karhama where students and youth were sensitised about the harmful effects of drug abuse.

Participants also took a pledge to work towards a drug-free society.

In another programme, the MLA inaugurated a German-made fully automatic biochemistry analyser capable of conducting 100 tests per hour to strengthen diagnostic and patient care facilities in the area.

He also distributed appointment orders among ICDS workers at Town Hall Tangmarg and urged the selected candidates to work sincerely for the welfare of women and children.

Later, under the “Aapki Awaaz Hamari Zimadari” programme, the MLA visited Mahyen and interacted with residents regarding public grievances and developmental issues.

He assured the locals of timely redressal of their concerns and full support for developmental works in the area.
