Kupwara: Mission Director, Mission Dairy Development J&K and Mentor Secretary for implementation of the Vibrant Villages Programme in Kupwara district, Narinder Singh Bali on Friday reviewed developmental plans for Dardpora village in Lolab.
During his visit, Bali chaired a review meeting at Government Degree College Sogam with officers of various departments to assess developmental initiatives proposed under the programme.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Lolab Mudasir Ahmad and other sectoral officers attended the meeting.
The Mission Director sought detailed feedback from departments regarding infrastructure development, livelihood generation, essential services and socio-economic initiatives planned for Dardpora village, which has been identified under the Vibrant Villages Programme.
Addressing officers, Bali said the programme aims to ensure inclusive and sustainable development in remote border villages by improving infrastructure, public services and quality of life.
He stressed the need for better coordination among departments and called for timely implementation of developmental works. He also highlighted the importance of promoting renewable energy solutions such as solar energy and biogas projects to enhance self-reliance in remote areas.
Later, the Mission Director visited Dardpora village and held an interaction with local residents and officials.
During the interaction, locals raised issues related to healthcare, roads, public infrastructure, education, employment opportunities and other basic amenities.
Bali assured the residents that their concerns and developmental demands would be addressed under the programme with the aim of transforming Dardpora into a model village through coordinated interventions.
