All Cells Co-Incharge Bilal Parry, District President Ghulam Hasan, Maulana Owais Qadri and Maulana Ghulam Rasool Hami were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Ashok Koul emphasised the urgent need for a collective social movement against the growing menace of drug addiction among youth.

He said substance abuse was not only destroying individuals but also weakening families and society at large. He stressed that religious institutions, social organisations, educational bodies and public representatives must work together to guide the younger generation towards education, morality and constructive activities.

Ashok Koul said the BJP government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi was firmly committed to safeguarding the future of youth through awareness campaigns, rehabilitation measures and strict action against drug peddlers.

He urged the youth to become ambassadors of a drug-free society and actively participate in nation-building.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi said drug abuse is a serious social evil that requires united efforts from every section of society.

She highlighted the important role of religious and social organisations in creating awareness and motivating youth to stay away from addiction.

She also appreciated Al Rahim Trust for organising the programme and taking proactive steps for social reform and public awareness in the region.
