Srinagar: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited has announced scheduled power shutdowns in parts of Srinagar due to maintenance work on transmission lines.
According to the utility, a shutdown of the 33 kV Habak–Zakura line will be observed on May 11, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. As a result, power supply to areas including Zakura, Batpora, Gulab Bagh, Burzhama, Chatterhama, Tailbal, Danihama, Khimber, Shoperbagh, and adjoining localities will remain affected during this period.
Similarly, the 33 kV Odina Tapline will undergo shutdown on April 30 and May 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Power supply to the Transit Migrant Accommodation at Odina will be affected on these days.
Consumers in the affected areas have been advised to plan accordingly.
