Srinagar: A cop who was injured in a road accident in Mir Bazar area of south Kashmir two days ago succumbed to injuries on Monday.

An official said that an accident occurred on Saturday near Malpora Mir Bazar when a speeding Tempo (JK02AT-0730) hit Head Constable Abdul Rashid (52) while the latter was on Yatra duty.

He said the critically injured cop was shifted to GMC Anantnag for treatment and subsequently to SKIMS Soura where he succumbed to injuries today.
