Srinagar: An unidentified male body was recovered from the River Jhelum near Pantha Chowk area of central Kashmir Srinagar district on Monday.
An official said that an unidentified body was recovered by the SDRF from the river in Srinagar.
He said that the body was later handed over to the police for necessary formalities.
The identification of the body is being ascertained while as police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated investigation, he said.(KS)
