Sopore: A lady allegedly attempted to commit suicide by setting herself ablaze in the Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday evening.
Sources told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that a lady (name withheld) aged around 32 years old set herself ablaze in an orchard in the Arampora area of Sopore this evening, however, she was immediately taken to a sub-district hospital, where she is said to be critical.
Official sources told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that it was not immediately known as to why she took this extreme step.
They said that the police have started an investigation into the matter.
