Srinagar: A minor boy died after drowning outside his home in the Udina area of north Kashmir on Saturday evening.
An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that the boy identified as 3-year-old Sakib Abass son of Sajad Hussain Dar of Udina drowned in the pond adjacent to his home.
However, the body was retrieved and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where doctors referred him to JVC Hospital Srinagar where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, police took cognizance of this incident.
