Mohammad Rafiq Lone elected JKYF Chairman for a two year term
Srinagar: Mohammad Rafiq Lone was elected Chairman of J&K Yateem Foundation (JKYF) for a two year term on Sunday, here
The Central Executive Committee (CEC) of JKYF comprising of elected executive members and Board Members, elected Lone through a secret ballot held at the BAITUL HILAL, Jawahar Nagar Srinagar.
Out of 16, Lone secured 15 votes. Six votes were polled virtually that includes 03 each from Jammu Division and other districts in Kashmir Division.
Mohammad Rafiq Lone has served as Chairman for two terms earlier and is one of the founding members of JKYF in 2000.
The Central Executive Committee also re-elected Mohammad Ahsan Rather and Dr Tariq Ahmad Malik as Members of Permanent Accountability Commission (PAC) for a 04 year term.
Furthermore, the CEC elected 04 member Central Advisory Board (CAB) to assist the Chairman in running the day to day affairs of the Organization. The members elected includes Bashir Ahmad Bhat , Mohammad Iqbal Neigh, Mohammad Anwar Malik and Showkat Hayat Malik .
The election process took place under the supervision of Permanent Accountability Commission (PAC) of JKYF.
The newly elected Chairman appointed Mohammad Yaqoob Reshi as General Secretary, Mohammad Ishaq Sheikh as Secretary Finance, Bashir Ahmad Bhat as Programme Executive BAITUL HILAL, Jawahar Nagar Srinagar and Javaid Jawad as Programme Executive, Press and PR Division of JKYF
The Chairman appealed all volunteers to continue their humanitarian work with sincerity, dedication and selflessness for common social service cause, only to earn pleasure of Allah (SWT) and beloved Prophet (PBUH).
It is pertinent to mention that all the elected and appointed functionaries work as volunteers with honorary status.
