‘TIME FOR NATURE’

After struggling through lockdown, with influx of new worries and stress, the time to unwind has finally come. Unwind, in a totally different meaning of the word, a new alternate dimension definition where unwind means to work in a socially paralysed community, and where sanitizers and masks are mandatory. Removal or disobedience of the ‘mask’ has potential to land you in jail or worse, be purposefully avoided! Nonetheless, with the government unfreezing our economy, it is certain that a hint of ‘normalcy’ is bound to return to our injured Earth.

So, this time to celebrate World Environment Day, we should come together and work towards the betterment of this planet in our own little way. This article is my way of contributing to the cause; helping and inspiring anyone determined to become responsible protectors of this tiny blob in our universe. For it is the only tiny blob we have.

The theme for this year’s World Environment Day is ‘Time for Nature’. To celebrate life, diverse species, essentialities Earth supplies us free of cost, and to know this planet thoroughly, once again, we should dive into the infinite knowledge acquired through research and innovations. And once again, we should team up, resolve, and act to better the environment which sustains us.

‘Time for Nature’

Earth is calling out to people who are ready to work. Work for the planet and themselves.

The growing global population, true strength of this planet, must understand that it cannot tidy its surroundings without sweeping away the root cause of contamination; ignorance. Ignorance or being unenlightened, whatever one may call it, is a force that leads to ruin. Couple it with a self-serving attitude and you have the ‘cocktail of destruction’. To treat ignorance, it is better to let go of it. Our world, developing to be a super planet, is and always has been a place where most people are never aware of what lies ahead or what their actions can cultivate. People believe in an unseen God yet treat their environment with nothing but contempt, and trample upon it without caring for after-effects. Which, regrettably, will arrive. How and when? Soon enough, given the present state of affairs.

So, yet again, Earth is calling out for heroes. Heroes who will save the day, fight for a just cause, and imprison, maul and maim discourtesy of nature.

Literate or not, billionaires or not, public figures or not, what needs to be done has to be done at all levels, by all levels, and for all levels. Protecting our environment is more important than whatever material aspect of life we can think of.

To develop a sense of understanding and protect our environment, we must:

  • Start Campaigns: That are friendly, local, and effective.
  • Take Initiative: Stand up, pick up the broom and clean. Don’t wait for someone else to clean up after you. It’s your Earth too.
  • Have Faith: Environmentalism as a religion does not differentiate or create barriers. It is easy enough and lacks garboil. So,all can follow.
  • Be Proactive: Just lectures won’t work. Make yourself available for ground-force action.
  • Avail Eco-Friendly Products: No plastic today will make life breathable tomorrow. Let future generations have as bright a present as you do.
