Advisors greet people on Eid-ul-Fitr

SRINAGAR, MAY 23: Advisors to Lieutenant Governor have extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and prayed that Almighty Allah reward Rozadars with His bounties and mercy.

Urging the people to celebrate Eid with simplicity, Baseer Khan said that Allah commands us to be not amongst those who indulge in extravagance, which He dislikes. He also made a fervent appeal to the people to avoid wastage of food and resources and be conscious towards their neighbours, orphans and the needy so that they also become part of the Eid celebrations.

He urged people to strictly follow the guidelines and protocol of health advisories while celebrating auspicious occasions during COVID-19 pandemic.

Baseer Kahn also prayed for peace, progress and prosperity in the J&K.

In a message of felicitation, the Advisor described the festival as a reward from Almighty Allah. He said celebrating Eid teaches us camaraderie, friendship, mutual respect and love for the masses. He appealed people to remember their neighbours, orphans and the needy during Eid celebrations.

Advisor Farooq Khan also prayed for peace, progress and prosperity in the J&K.

Advisor to Lt Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar in his message, said that the festival of Eid is a celebration of the spirit of sharing and brotherhood while praying for the peace, progress, prosperity and happiness of the J&K and its people.

The Advisor appealed the people to follow all the safety guidelines and advisories put in view of the Global pandemic of the COVID-19 as well as maintain social distancing while celebrating the day.

The Advisor Bhatnagar also extended his greetings and good wishes to people on the holy occasion.

In a message, the Advisor K. K. Sharma said celebrating Eid ul Fitr teaches us concepts of camaraderie, friendship, mutual respect and love for the destitute and downtrodden. He hoped the festival brings peace, prosperity and happiness to the people of the Jammu and Kashmir.

Advisor Sharma also appealed people to remember their neighbours, orphans and the needy during Eid celebrations.

Chief Secretary B.V.R Subhramanyam has also extended warm greetings to the people of the Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In his message, the Chief Secretary said that the festival is celebrated upon culmination of the Holy month of Ramadhan a pious month, marked by feeling of compassion towards humanity, eagerness to extend helping hand to those who are suffering, focusing on charity and good deeds, seeking refuge in Almighty against evil and providing opportunities to devotees for self introspection and nurturing values of compassion.

The Chief Secretary also prayed for prosperity and happiness for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
