DDC Ganderbal reviews development scenario in district

GANDERBAL, MARCH 12: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today chaired a meeting to review the progress on various ongoing development projects in the district besides, progress registered under District CAPEX Budget.

The meeting was attended by, CPO Ganderbal, ACD Ganderbal, Executive Engineers of PDD, R&B, and PHE and other concerned district and sectoral officers.

The DDC reviewed physical and financial achievements registered by the department and sought detailed report scheme wise from the concerned heads of departments and agencies.  While reviewing the performances of the department, the DDC directed them to ensure 100% expenditure of budget allocation under CAPEX till ending March, 2020.

The meeting also reviewed the action taken on the directions given in previous meeting. It was revealed that above 50% expenditure is registered against availability is incurred till date in regular schemes.

The meeting also discussed the progress on works approved under the Back to Village Programme phase-I. It was informed that works approved are taken up for the execution and are at various stages of completion.

The progress registered under languishing projects in the district was also reviewed. The meeting was informed that 71 projects approved under languishing scheme are at different stages of completion.

Detailed discussions were held on various issues like current status of approved languishing projects -progress as per timeline, uploaded bills of approved projects, physical and financial progress of languishing projects besides issues hampering the progress of these projects.
