Kishtwar, March 8: Unknown gunmen on Friday night snatched the service rifle from personnel security officer (PSO) of District Commissioner, Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana.
Reports reaching here said that the PSO Daleep Kumar claimed that some masked gunmen barged inside his residence at Shaheedi Mazar area of the Kishtwar town late night and decamped with his AK-47 rifle and mobile.
A police officer also confirmed the incident and said the security forces rushed to the spot and launched a massive searches to nab the gunmen.
In November 2018, a senior BJP leader and his brother were killed by the suspected militants in the town.
