KPDCL announces power shutdown in parts of Budgam and Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited has announced scheduled power shutdowns in various areas of Budgam and Srinagar due to maintenance work on several 33 kV transmission lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, shutdown of the 33 kV Soibugh-Wadwan line will be observed on April 8, due to which power supply to Soibugh, Dharmuna, Wadwan, Rasoo, Gotpora, Chatbugh, Pymus, Gariend, Nadigam, Banggam, Wahpora and adjoining areas will remain affected from 9 am to 12:30 pm.

The corporation further said that the shutdown of the 33 kV Bemina–Fateh Kadal line and the 33 kV Bemina–Barbarshah line will be observed on April 11 and April 13.

As a result, power supply to K.K. Mohalla, Nowpora, Bohrikadal, BB Shah, Babademb, Bishembarnagar, Gousia Hospital, Nai Sarak, Barbarshah, Exchange, Basantbagh, Car Parking, Maisuma Bazar and adjoining areas will remain affected from 10 am to 3 pm on both days.

Meanwhile, the shutdown of the 33 kV Beerwah-Arizal tap line will also be carried out on April 8, affecting power supply to Arizal, Zanigam, Reyar, Doodhpathri and adjoining areas from 9 am to 3 pm.
