JKLF accuses police of assaulting Yasin Malik

Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik was Tuesday arrested in Srinagar.

Malik according to the reports was arrested to prevent him from launching election boycott campaign.

The elections for Urban Local Bodies and Panchayat in Jammu and Kashmir are slated to be held from October 08.

JKLF spokesman said that Malik was detained in view of the election boycott call.
