Nonmai Cricket Club wins by 2 wickets

Anantnag, July 30: In the first round of Mirza Ghalib Cricket Tournament being played at Government Degree College (Boys) Anantnag,  Umar Sports Panzgam faced Nonmai Cricket Club.

After winning the toss Umar Sports Panzgam elected to bat first and scored 110 runs for the loss od nine wickets in allotted 20 overs.

Muzamil Rashid of Umar sports Panzgam who came to bat at number 4 scored 40 runs from 23 balls, while as Aadil Ibrahim and Shakeel Ahmad scored 23 and 22 runs respectively for their team and set the target of 110 runs for the opposite rivals.

Nonmai Cricket Club performed well with their bowling and kept the opposite team tight and restricted them on 110 runs in the first innings.

Irshad Hameed from Nonmai CC bowled 4 overs while giving away 17 runs and took 2 wickets, while as Aafaq Ahmad bowled 4 overs and giving 16 runs and scalping 2 wickets.

Chasing the target of 110 runs Nonmai Sports won the match by 2 Wickets in the final over of the innings.

It was a pressure game in the end overs of match as Nonmai CC required 5 runs in the last over but at the end they did it perfectly and defeated opposite team by 2 wickets.

Aafaq Ahmad from Nonmai CC was awarded Man of the match for scoring 20 runs and taking 2 wickets in the competition.
