SRINAGAR, JUNE 8: Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, Minister for Health and Medical Education, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan today.

Dr. Manyal briefed Governor about the various ongoing initiatives of his Department for providing satisfactory healthcare facilities to the people. He also informed Governor about certain other important issues relating to the functioning of departments under his charge.

Governor and Minister discussed arrangements which are being made for the forthcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra, relating to the location of Medical Camps enroute the Yatra tracks, positioning of doctors and para-medical staff, medical examination and issuance of Health Certificates to the intending pilgrims, stocking of medicines and essential equipments in Emergency Care Units along the tracks and in the Medical Camps, particularly Oxygen Concentrators.
