Rajnath, Mehbooba visit DPL Kupwara
‘Interact with Jawans, tribute to the martyrs’
Srinagar, June 08: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister J&K Mehbooba Mufti accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister J&K Kavinder Gupta, and MOS in PMO Dr Jatindar Singh visited District Police Line Kupwara today.
On this occasion the dignitaries led by Union Home Minister paid floral tributes to the police martyrs at the martyr’s gallery. Thereafter they jointly addressed the jawans of Police and CRPF while paying rich tributes to the role of martyrs in ensuring peaceful future for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, police said in a statement issued here.
While addressing the jawans, CM congratulated the Police & CRPF for exercising restraint during performance of L&O duties. On the occasion HM and CM also extended their warm wishes to jawans for the pious month of Ramazan.
The HM had a personal interaction with the Jawans. The interaction was followed up by a group photograph session.
