Shutdown in Soura, adjacent areas
Srinagar, Mar 13: Shutdown was observed in Soura and adjoining areas for the second consecutive day today against the killing of militant Eesa Fazili in a gunfight yesterday.
Shops and commercial establishments remained closed in Ahmednagar, Soura, Buchpora, Umerhear, Pandach, Elahibagh and 90ft road. Public transport also remained suspended in these areas while the stone-pelting clashes also forced private vehicles off the roads.

Throughout the day, protestors clashed with government forces in the Soura area, and latter responded by firing tear-gas to disperse them.
Residents from the area said clashes erupted between protestors and forces at Sabzi Mandi Soura, while angry protestors also clashed with SSB men at Ahmednagar.
Fazili was killed along with two associates in a gunfight with the government forces in Hakoora area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district in the wee hours yesterday.
