K Sudhakar in new Chief Justice

New Delhi: Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar has been appointed as the Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court.

A notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice, government of India, issued today said that the President of India has consented to appoint Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar as acting Chief Justice of J&K.

The order reads: In exercise of the powers conferred by section 100 of the Constitution of  J&K, the President is pleased to appoint : Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar, senior most judge of the J&K High Court to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of that High Court with effect from 16th March, 2018, consequent upon the retirement of Justice Badar Durez Ahmad, Chief Justice of J&K High Court.
