Sehrai warns against fiddling with PRCs
Srinagar: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman Mohd Ashraf Sehrai has said that the contemplated change into the procedure of issuing permanent resident certificates (PRCs) is a deliberate attempt to change J&K’s demography.
Sehrai in a statement said that the resistance leadership has a clear stand against the anti-Kashmir and anti-people policies and made it clear that the policies which are against the Kashmiri people and their security would not be allowed.
“The utter purpose of these efforts is to convert Muslim majority into a minority in Jammu & Kashmir so that desired results can be achieved in the plebiscite under the United Nations,” he said.
He said that although Kashmiris have been striving for the right to self determination however, defending such grave issues become inevitable due to its potential to change the demography of the state.
Meanwhile,Tehreek-e-Hurriyat General Secretary Ameer Hamzah Shah has strongly denounced the house arrest of its party Chairman Sehrai.
