SRINAGAR, November 28: Senior PDP leader and former finance minister Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari has expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of noted lawyer and socio-political activist Advocate Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani of Baramulla.

Terming the deceased as a very upright and a principled man, Bukhari said that late Mir would always represent and highlight the plight of people especially belonging to underprivileged sections of society at every forum available to him.

“We had a long personal association with the family of the deceased. Mir sahib was known for his wit and social moorings among his close circles of friends and acquaintances. He shall be remembered not only for his brevity of thought and hold on legal jurisprudence but for his philanthropic behavior as well,” Bukhari remarked.

The former finance minister expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. “I also pray to Almighty to give strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss,” he said in his condolence message.
