Zahoor Ahmad Mir son of the deceased contractor said he has lost his hope of getting justice as the murderer of his father despite having acknowledged the murder is yet to be punished.

He said 23 years have already elapsed, however the dead body of his father has not been found yet. He also demanded that DNA sampling of 2156 unmarked graves should to ensure identification of the dead bodies.

“I will continue my struggle to get the murderer of my father punished its 23rd death anniversary of my father today. He was brutally torture to death by Papa Kistwari after being kidnapped from his home in 1996. How long will it take to punish Kishtwari who destroyed many families for his lust,” Zahoor added.

He also appealed the international rights bodies to send fact finding team of their respective organizations to Kashmir for ascertaining the truth of mass graves.

Mir said Kishtwari dashed hopes of many families to ground, “he looted people, raped women, killed innocents. I am desperately waiting for the day when my father gets justice. I appeal the court to pronounce verdict so that my family heave a sigh of relief after twenty six years struggle,” he said.

He also demanded that the dead body of Ali Mohammad Mir be exhumed from the grave and handed over to his family for last rites.
