BTF members interact with CUK VC, faculty

Ganderbal, May 01: The Department of Tourism Studies in collaboration with the Department of Law, Central University of Kashmir (CUK) organised an interaction session with the members of Bangladesh Tourism Foundation (BTF) organisation at varsity’s Green Campus here on Tuesday.

The team comprising, President BTF, Mokhtesur Rahman, who is also a senior faculty in the Department of Tourism & Hospitality Management, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibu Rahman Science and Technology University, Gopalgang, Bangladesh and 50 lawyers of Bangladesh Supreme Court, was accompanied by Dr. Reyaz Qureshi, senior Assistant Professor, Department of Tourism Studies, University of Kashmir.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir extended a warm welcome to the visiting members and had a detailed interactive session with them. He called for holding of more such interactions and asked the faculty members to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with BTF for the faculty/students exchange programme.

Prof. Mokhtesur Rahman also expressed his gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and praised his intellectual honesty and amiable behaviour. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the CUK fraternity for providing the platform to share his thoughts and experiences.

Dean School of Science, Prof. M Afzal Zargar also spoke on the occasion and hailed both the departments for organising the interactive meet.

Coordinator, Department of Tourism Studies, Dr. Ramjit said the objective of the event was to interact with the tourism faculty, scholars, law teachers and scholars and scholars of both the department and discuss issues related to environmental law and laws pertaing to the tourism. “Conservation and preservation of heritage, believes and thoughts are the main target of BTF.”

Coordinator, Department of Legal Studies, Ms. Gulafroz proposed the vote of thanks.
