Secy Sports Council flags-off Pencak Silat JK team for Nationals

JAMMU, JANUARY 02: Secretary Sports Council, Dr Naseem Javaid Chowdhary, today flagged-off a contingent of 110 players from the State Pencak Silat for their participation in national level competitions.

The contingent comprises 80 players from Kashmir and 30 players from Jammu region.

Secretary Sports Council wished best of luck to the participating players and hoped that they will bring laurels for the state.

Meanwhile, a separate felicitation function was held in the office of Secretary Sports Council, where the Secretary felicitated Wushu Star players including Bhanu Pratap.

Senior Wushu Coach, Kuldeep Handoo apprised Secretary of various issues being faced by them for which all possible help was assured by the Secretary.

Later, Dr Chowdhary also held a meeting to review the progress of various construction works including PMDP Projects, languishing projects, projects approved under capex budget and other important development works.
