DC Budgam inaugurates free coaching centre

BUDGAM, JANUARY 2: Deputy Commissioner, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today inaugurated a winter coaching center here at Middle School, Khanpora for providing free coaching to students of the area.

Pertinently 10 free coaching centers have been started across the district Budgam to provide basic math coaching to 3rd standard to 8th standard students.

Presently, over 1000 students mostly from poor families are being taught math and other subjects at these centers. Two math trainers from Telangana have been hired to train local teachers and supervise the overall functioning of these coaching centers.

During her visit to coaching centre, the DC interacted with trainers and teachers to enquire about the process of admission and status of teaching.

The DC inspected classrooms and interacted with students and parents present and took feedback from them about the arrangements and facilities being provided at the coaching centers. She also enquired about the guidance provided by the faculty hired from outside State.

The DC directed the concerned to ensure proper heating as well as seating arrangements, besides quality education to the students at every coaching center.

The locals expressed their gratitude to government for opening these free coaching centers in the district and making all the required arrangements.

They said that such coaching centers were need of the hour and have helped their wards to learn maths to very extent and other subjects too without paying any fee to anyone.

Among others, District Education Planning Officer, Farooq Ahmad Raina, Zonal Education Officer, Zone Budgam, SamiyaGeelani were also present on the occasion.
